Hit the Brakes, Not the Dock

Truck Stop Collision Avoidance System helps you do just that- without ever leaving the cab -with a large, bright display constantly showing your truck's safe distance to the dock.

How It Works

Truck Stop consists of a transducer mounted on the loading dock that transmits and receives audio signals. The delay between a signal transmitted and then reflected back to the transducer, is calculated into a measurement of the distance from the truck to the dock. The results are shown in a digital display mounted in a separate enclosure on the loading dock wall, or any place that offers convenient viewing for the driver. It's like sonar for trucks.

Truck Stop was designed and made just for truck drivers and dock managers--with safety and productivity built in. For example, Truck Stop doesn't just measure the distance from the dock to the back of the truck. It measures the distance from the rear-most object between the truck and the dock. So if a door swings open, or a person enters the space, Truck Stop's display updates instantly to show you the safe distance.

Truck Stop's intelligence is displayed in a bold digital display, conveniently presented as both right-reading and mirror-image numbers, readable from 150 feet away.

All of this is built on a common 110-volt system, with power requirements so low that multiple display units can be added to one circuit. Installation is equally simple: mount the transducer and display enclosures, connect the two, and plug-in to a 110-volt receptacle to complete the installation.

How It Can Benefit You

As Truck Stop helps you get to the dock safely, it brings wide-ranging benefits that go directly to the bottom line:

  • Helps prevent driver injuries and saves collision damage to docks, trucks and their loads
  • Saves driver time with all navigation to the dock handled from the cab--no repeated trips from the cab to the dock and back
  • Adds productivity to the driver's work day with no-delay parking, loading, unloading, and return to the road
